About S.W.A.C.T.

S.W.A.C.T. or Social Workers Advocating for Change Together began in 2005 as an effort to provide the social work students at UTSA Downtown Campus a voice within the school and neighboring community. Throughout the years, the organization has been progressively expanding to provide its students the tools necessary to be active social workers in training. The organization has had a large amount of support from the faculty and staff within the social work department at UTSA. Through their support and creative qualities of each group of officers, the organization has established a solid foundation to continue its mission.
